Patiently waiting
We are patiently waiting to here news on our next travel dates. While we know it will most likely be in January, 08 we can still hope. We have updated all of our paperwork that we had to do once we got home from our first trip.It took longer than I had expected but it's done. We were told in Russia that we would be receiving a court petition and a medical report to sigh off on , once we had met Noah and got home.We have received the court peition and sent it back ,but we haven't received the medical report. They say it could take 2-3 months sometimes but we hope it will come quickly. The Russian court system will close from January, 01 2008 through January, 14 2008. We have known for a while that we will not be getting " the call" during that time. Just to give you all a fictitious timeline to let you how things will happen once we get the call will go like this more or less. Lets say, We get that oh' so waited call on January,20, 2008. The first thing they would say would be , You have to be here within 5-7 days ( 2 weeks at the most but not expected).then once we will arrive in Vladivostok, Russia you will add a few days for our stay. the first 3 or 4 days we will be getting ready for the court date and visiting Noah, going into the 5th to 6th the day we will be actually in court, the day of court we will be able to pick up Noah for good !!!! We will then have to remain in Vladivostok for 10 more days while our paperwork is finalizing in the court system. At the end of the those days we will travel to Moscow, Russia to do more paperwork for Noah's passport for him to exit the country. ( maybe 5 more days) When we land back in the U.S. we will have to complete Noah's CIS approval ( citizenship papers). I know it seems like a bunch of stuff to go through but we can do anything it takes to get our little Noah. We are soooo exited to see him again even though he probably won't remember us, we will catch him up fast. I know the trip is going to be completely different coming home with Noah, but I'm ready to deal with anything he can throw at us. I've been waiting for those kinds of problems for a long time. I hope I have answered a few questions for some of you about our traveling but please blog and let us know if you would like to know anymore of our process of adoption.
